TEENIE TOES
Teenie Toes Dance classes are the perfect introduction to dance. Allowing your little movers to explore the fundamentals of dance in a fun and engaging environment. Our Teenie Toes Dance classes aim to develop coordination, balance and rhythm as well as help our little dancers grow in confidence. The classes teach the basics of ballet and tap through creative and imaginative interactions following our class mascot Evie the Elephant, on her seasonal adventures.
IDTA Grade
The progression from our Teenie Toes classes, takes our students into their International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) syllabus classes. Dancers start at Primary grade and progress to Intermediate and Advance levels through dance exams over their years at the company. Our IDTA classes instal the highest level of fundamental techniques in Ballet, Theatre Craft, Modern and Tap.
BALLET
At EJB Dance Company we take pride in our strong technical training and believe one of the most important classes included in our timetable is Ballet. Our open ballet classes for all children aged 4+ are led by our highly qualified ballet teacher, who ensures all students of all abilities are catered for during this lesson. Alongside our open Ballet classes we offer Progressive Ballet Technique (PBT) sessions for our students. These classes follow a body conditioning and strength building syllabus that priorities muscle memory development through ballet exercises.
JAZZ
Our Jazz classes are high energy, technically challenging and positive vibes. This class is lead by our Principle across the board and alongside ballet, we believe this is also another important class included in the weekly timetable. EJB Dance Companies Jazz classes promise to push your training to the next level, learning Jazz foundations, leap, turns and kicks as well as enhancing your performance qualities through different choreographic styles.
TAP
Tap classes encourage the development of musicality in our dancers. Where we learn how to create our own music by exploring speeds, tempos and rhythms as well as combinations. From the basics in our Teenie Toes classes through to open classes in upper school, our Tap sessions are a great opportunity to develop your dance training.
COMMERCIAL
Our commercial classes promise to bring out the confidence and growth in dancers. Commercial is always high energy and fun, this class is available to our Junior, Inter and Senior students. Commercial dance is ever-growing and seen on music videos, backing dancers for touring pop artists, TV shows and TV commercials.
CONTEMPORARY
At EJB Dance Company our contemporary classes are a huge part of our timetable. Contemporary is an increasingly popular form of dance. Our classes teach the basics of contraction and release through to complex floor work and enticing choreography. We explore the Graham and Cunningham techniques and modernise them into our class choreography.
MUSICAL THEATRE
Musical theatre classes build confidence in our dancers. Exploring musicals and their context as well as developing students singing, acting and dance skills. Our musical theatre teachers work hard to create a safe and encouraging space for students to develop at their own pace with mindful encouragement.
